The ZHUKOV-U Hand Guard fits Kalashnikov-pattern firearms with shorter barrels and standard-length gas systems, providing the same proven benefits as our longer ZHUKOV hand guard. The internal aluminum chassis shields the support hand against heat and provides a rigid structure for flex-free mounting. M-LOK® slots support accessories, and the ergonomic shape enhances handling and control without extra weight. Accommodates original factory cleaning rods stored under the barrel. Installation requires permanent removal of hand guard retainer plate.

*NOTE: The Zhukov-U Hand Guard requires the permanent removal of the factory hand guard retaining cap and forward sling mount if so equipped. Please ensure your barrel diameter under the hand guard falls between 16.75-18.25 millimeters before cutting your retaining cap!
Due to the wide range of tolerances of your typical AK, minor additional fitting may be required. Not compatible with Yugo pattern rifles or RPK style receivers.
