The Maztech X4 Low-Profile Remote controls an X4 device from any preferred tactical position. The X4 Low-Profile Remote plugs into the Input/Output (I/O) Accessory Port on either the X4-FCS™ or the X4-LRF™. The rugged ODU® breakaway I/O connector ensures function during firing. The buttons have a tactile response when clicked, with the additional feature of haptic pulsing when connected to the X4-LRF (which can be turned off if desired). Each button supports single-click, double-click, and long-click functions.
When connected to the X4-LRF, use the 3-button keypad on the X4 Low-Profile Remote to perform the same functions as the 3 buttons on the X4-LRF. The “L” button maps to the (L)ase button, the “M” button maps to the (M)enu button, and the “R” button maps to the (R)ange button. When connected to the X4-FCS, use the 3-button keypad on the X4 Low-Profile Remote to perform the same functions as the control knob and push-button on the X4-FCS. The “L” and “R” buttons on the remote simulate turning the X4-FCS knob forward and backward, while the “M” button on the remote simulates the X4-FCS button-press.
When the X4-FCS is connected to the X4-LRF via the X4 FCS-to-LRF Cable, the X4 Low-Profile Remote can still be plugged into the I/O Accessory port on the X4-FCS. Now, the X4 Low-Profile Remote will control the X4-LRF (L)ase and (R)ange functions and the X4-FCS (M)enu system.
The X4 Low-Profile Remote is designed to be mounted with adhesive-backed hook-and-loop strips (included). Simply clean your intended mounting surfaces with an alcohol wipe (included) and affix the hook-and-loop strips.
The two (2) cable lengths offered (12” and 20”) allow for flexibility to mount the X4 Low-Profile Remote. Note: A 12” X4 Low-Profile Remote comes with the X4-LRF; the X4-FCS does not come with an X4 Remote.
No batteries are required – simply plug it into an X4 device and the remote is all set. The X4 Low-Profile Remote is fabricated from durable polymers that function from -40° F to 140° F and withstand water immersion down to a depth of three (3) feet for 30 minutes.
