After the Original Magpul was created, the next logical step was to make it bigger to deliver the same enhanced handling and control for magazines in 7.62X51. Leaving those bigger magazines to make do with duct tape and para-cord loops while their 5.56X45 cousins got new wizbang Magpuls just wouldn’t have been right.
