The Magpul DAKA Hard Case LR53 solves the common failures of traditional long-gun cases by delivering a stronger, easier-to-use, and more reliable system for transporting and storing rifles and shotguns. Built around the DAKA GRID Organizer, the LR53 provides a premium storage solution optimized for protection, organization, and durability—inside and out.
Streamlined and easy to maneuver, the LR53 eliminates common snag points that lead to case damage and poor handling. Advanced injection molding, improved latch geometry, recessed lock housings, ergonomic handles, and smooth-rolling wheels work together to create a hard case that protects better, handles easier, and holds up to hard use in transit, travel, and storage.
Designed specifically for long rifles and shotguns, the LR53 comfortably carries one or more long firearms along with the additional equipment required for transport, training, or extended travel.

- Integrated lock pass-throughs prevent latch operation when locked, securing the entire case
- Recessed lock housings and zip-tie retention points protect both the lock and case from impact damage
- Nesting lugs allow secure stacking of multiple DAKA Hard Cases; strap recesses keep ratchet straps properly positioned during transport
- Three ergonomic handles—including a wheel-side handle—allow controlled lifting, rolling, and vertical standing

UNIQUE LATCH DESIGN MAKES OPENING, CLOSING, AND LOCKING A SNAP
Four cammed, push-button latches can be opened and closed with one hand
Latches include recessed lock attachment points vs having locks attach outside the latch to prevent prying
Lock and zip tie pass-throughs secure locks within the latch and streamline the case, preventing impact damage to the lock and the case
HANDLES ARE COMFORTABLE AND FUNCTIONAL
Handle cross sections are modeled on our pistol grips for maximum comfort and grip
The two hinged handles are longer than standard handles for more grip flexibility
Handles are designed to remain in when stowed and to stay out when deployed
